I'M BACK!!

attempt-to-event:

Alright! I’m back, kids. For real this time because I have lots of exciting things going on!!

I’m back at FCF, but I’m trying to kickstart my own little training thing under the name of MKEquestrian!! Go like that page on FB, mmk? I’m being sponsored by Horze.com and I’m under negotiations of…

Soo… That’s my fiance and my 3 yr old cat, Birthday. Wednesday he went to the vet for a regular check up with his brother. I knew he had 3 lumps on him, but we couldn’t find him during the exam. But while mom was paying, I found them and we called the vet back out and she decided she didn’t like how they felt. So she took small samples to look under the microscope. Well, she really didn’t like the look of that… She thinks he has fibrosarcoma, an aggressive form of cancer. So Monday he’s going in for surgery to have the lumps removed and sent for biopsy… Hopefully, if it is cancer they’ll get it all with that surgery. Buuut… I really hope my Birthday cat doesn’t have cancer at all…

Lets all have a moment of silence for all of the breeches stained by boot polish.

And a moment of silence for all the white breeches that got stained right before you got on

And a moment of…

And a moment of silence for those breeches ripped and bloodied right before you had to get on for a class.

Reblog if it’s okay to befriend you, ask questions, ask for advice, rant, vent, let something off your chest, or just have a nice chat.

can you believe this is a grand prix fence? this big horse just launched himself over everything
what kind of horse hovers over fences that large

If you really want the answer, ill tell you :)(GENERALLY) inexperienced horses do that. We’ve all seen the pictures of horses for sale that are free jumping that are clearing the jump by a landslide. Same idea. But, jumping over the jump this much creates time faults.

sorry but any horse at this level is not a green horse

he simply has a bit of a different style. instead of tucking his knees to his chin he makes up for it by jumping higher over the fences because he looks like he has some serious scope. (usually horses like this have giant strides and can get away with the time in the air)

he could have also been spooked by the fence. sometimes if horses get nervous about a fence they’ll just launch themselves over it.

If my mare doesn’t like a fence, we’re miles above it instead of cruising at optimum altitude.

Glæta’s really dirty here, but look at those dapples, even through the dirt! I’ve always wondered, what causes dappling? Like, on a scientific level, why does it happen? I know it indicates a healthy horse, but why? I figured SOMEONE on tumblr must know!! Anyone??

Dapples are a genetic trait for the coat. It has little to do with health, they just look great in a shiny coat. A *shiny* coat is indicative of a healthy, well cared for horse.
